Things that have changed...

I haven't posted anything on my blog in over a year and I have no idea why! Well, I do. I have been SUPER busy and had lots of new things going on that I haven't really even had time to think about posting on my blog. Where do I start?

In January 2015 when I last posted on my blog, I did The Magical Orlando Tag, as I was on my countdown to visiting Walt Disney World in Florida with my best friend Chelsea in June. Since then, so much has changed! Holidays, boyfriends, moving, new jobs and more!

The main reason I got distracted from blogging in the beginning was because I was spending a LOT of my time with my boyfriend who I had been with in school, but we both moved to different places and drifted apart. We started talking again in the February 2015, we got together officially in the April and we are happier than ever right now!

The countdown did continue for Florida, and seemed to take forever, but then the day before arrived and we were like 'that went so fast!' I will be doing a completely separate post on my trip to Disney VERY SOON, but I had an absolutely amazing time, I didn't want to come home whatsoever!

After I got back from America, I then graduated from Liverpool Hope University with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours Degree in Education and Early Childhood - a day I never thought I would see! My three years at uni seemed to fly by and was one of the best things I have done with my life so far and was absolutely worth it. Graduation day was a very long (and quite boring, sorry!) day, but wearing the cap and gown and having all of my family there and enjoying a celebratory meal together was the best part of it all.

After graduating, I managed to get myself a job in a primary school - the school I had always set my sights on and the reason why I went to university in the first place which was amazing! I started in September and love my job a lot!

I then celebrated my 22nd birthday in September with an amazing present from my boyfriend - a Christmassy weekend away to London! He knew that I wanted to go back to London for a few days at some point and he knows that I LOVE Christmas so this present was really thoughtful. We went to London on the 19th of December for 4 days and had a fabulous time. It was my boyfriend's first time in London so we did the whole 'tourist' part of London - Big Ben, Oxford Street, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Harrods and Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.

The day after we arrived back, we went to view a couple of apartments! This was really exciting for us just before Christmas as we fell in love with the second one that we viewed. It wasn't too far away from my parents' house either which was really important to me. I mentioned briefly earlier, but my boyfriend and I went to school together, a year apart, and since then he had moved about an hour and a half away from where my home with my parents was and a bit later on I moved to Liverpool for uni. It was really hard sometimes with the distance as none of us drive! But we ended up being successful with the apartment we fell in love with and moved in in February 2016. After getting the apartment, he left his job where he was living and moved back home to live with me and got a new job around here.

I hope to get my long and overdue post about mine and Chelsea's trip to Walt Disney World very soon and will share lots of pictures too!

Welcome 2015!

Hello 2015!

Now I don't know about anyone else but for me 2014 seemed to fly by. I literally seemed to have blinked and now 2015 is here! Without sounding too depressing (lighten up Em) 2014 wasn't my best year - not because of anything particularly bad happening, but nothing particularly good did either.

I don't feel as though in 2014 I really lived my life, I feel as though I just sort of existed haha. There were a couple of good events in 2014 such as booking my holiday to Florida for June this year (WAHOOOOOOO!!!) and my 21st birthday. I'm going to Orlando, Florida with my best friend to spend two weeks doing all things Disney, Universal and to swim with dolphins. To know that it is only 5 months away now is far too exciting!! My 21st was definitely a birthday to remember. I had a brilliant night with my friends and my brother - the day after proved so with a day of not moving from the sofa haha!

I'm so excited for 2015 to finally be here as I have so much to look forward too! In April, I am going to see The Vamps in concert (Bradley Simpson, I love you), in May I finish university forever :O, in June I go to Florida for 2 weeks and July is my graduation! I'm also thinking of taking another trip to London with my nan and hopefully get tickets to go and see One Direction towards the end of the year as I was very sad to miss out on them the morning they were released :(

I'm also not one to ever stick to new year's resolutions, so I'm just gonna call these 'aims' and hope for the best.
I want to do more with my blog this year and also become more confident in myself (definitely hope for the best here Em haha).

But anyway, I hope you all have a fabulous 2015 and it brings everything that you want!
Here's to a happy 2015!

Adjusting Back To Univeristy Life | Blogtober Day 9

After leaving my second year at uni for the summer, I wasn't expecting for it to be so weird coming back. I did get literally four months off uni over the summer so I was back home and found a little part time job in a bakery to keep me going, but leaving that job and coming back to uni has felt a little strange.

This year, as you know, me and my friends are in a house rather than halls of residence. The house is lovely and doesn't look or feel like a student house at all and is a lot better in comparison to halls. Don't get me wrong, I loved my first year of university halls - literally the best year of uni... but after second year in halls we were ready for our own house.

In first year of uni, we were in halls with all girls doing the same or similar courses to ourselves and as we were all freshers, all wanted to do the same things - go on nights out, sleep till whatever time in the day, miss a few classes due to stupidity the night before leading to a horrendous hangover and basically have an amazing first year - and that we did. Second year was a lot quieter.. we were put in halls with some first years and some third along with international students. I liked my second year but it didn't even compare to first year.

Third year has only been going on for a week now but I do love it and having the house is a lot more practical and better for us. Halls included a lot of rules obviously but some were just ridiculous - at 20 years of age and not allowed the girls or boys from other halls in our halls past 11pm being one of them. But having four months off over summer didn't make it easy to come back. Getting used to home comforts again and being around all my family and friends made me not want to come back but it is going good.

University Room Before | Blogtober Day 5

I am in my final year at university now studying in Liverpool and me and my friends have got a house to stay in now instead of staying in university halls accommodation. I just thought I would share a picture of my room before I got all of my stuff in (apart from my bedding) and then show you what it looks like later on in October when I am happy with how everything is set up.

We numbered the bedrooms from one to four and picked them out of a pot to decide who got which bedroom and I was lucky enough to get the second biggest size. My bedroom came furnished with a wardrobe, some shelves, a bed, a desk and a set of drawers which are by the window which you can't see.

This is the state that my room looked like once I had brought all my things over to unpack so it's an absolute mess! Haha, but I am excited to put my own touch on it and make it the best I can. So when I am happy with how I have got it I will do another blog post later on in the month and show you things in more detail.

Sorry about this blog post and my next one being out of timing with the blogtober month, but when we moved in we had a problem with the wifi so I was unable to use my laptop to upload the post with the pictures on. So it is now the 7th of October, but I will be posting this post and two others to make up for it and get back on track now that the Virgin Media man has been round to fix it (yayyyyy!!).
