The Magical Orlando Tag!

I saw this tag over on Ellie’s blog (elliesramblings) and I was all over it. If there is anything blogwise that is Disney, Florida, Universal, SeaWorld etc. then I am sold so when I saw the magical Orlando tag I wanted to do it right away. Orlando is my favourite place in the whole wide world and am currently waiting what seems like forever for my trip back there in June! Fingers crossed time hurries its little butt up…

Which Hogwarts house would you be sorted into?
I’d like to think it would be Gryffindor house, probably what most people would say haha. I guess Gryffindor is the obvious choice, but Harry, Ron and Hermione just get into the most trouble, but the most fun at the same time.

Name a Disney character you’d like to have dinner with.
One?! Just one?! Surely it’s impossible to choose just one… I’d like to have dinner with Ariel because hs eis my favourite princess, Belle because she is my second favourite and I just love her and also Mickey and Minnie as that’s where Disney all started!

Which Marvel superhero power would you choose?
I’m not really a Marvel film kind of person to be really honest. I’ve only ever seen the Spiderman movies and as much as I did enjoy them, I haven’t really had the interest to watch any of the others. So I’m going to have to say Spiderman’s powers – I suppose flying around on strings of web would be fun, right?

If you could bring back one dinosaur breed from Jurassic Park, which would it be?
Again, I’m not really a fan of Jurassic Park either and I definitely wouldn’t want to bring back any dinosaurs haha. If google has done me rightly then I’d say the Compsognathus – the smallest dinosaur which is apparently the size of a chicken and only hunts small lizards and insects… ew.

You can ride a dragon at the Triwizard Tournament and visit the owlery at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but where else would you go on a school trip to Hogsmeade?
Definitely Honeydukes and The Three Broomsticks. I have a sweet tooth so would love to go into Honeydukes although I’d avoid the Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans! And I’d have to go into The Three Broomsticks for a butterbeer. I have had the butterbeer at the studio tour in London and I wasn’t that keen on it, but I hear in Florida it tastes much better – I want to try the frozen one!

A scene in any Disney, Harry Potter or Marvel movie you wish you could experience.
Disney movie: either the part of your world scene in The Little Mermaid so I could go into Ariel’s little cave and see her collection or the tale as old as time scene in Beauty and the Beast because let’s face it – it’s pretty perfect. Harry Potter: I’d love to give Quidditch a go!

Name one item from any Disney, Harry Potter or Marvel movie you would want for Christmas.
Disney movie: Ariel’s clam shell bra would be awesome, it’s so cute! Harry Potter: I’d love Hermione’s time turner. Being in two places at once would be amazing.

Name one unforgettable experience/moment you’ve had at the Orlando parks.
100% without a doubt has to be when you first step foot into Magic Kingdom and make your way down Main Street and see the castle in the distance. It is a very overwhelming moment for a Disney lover and one that you won’t forget. It is obviously so special the first ever time you do, but every single time after when you revisit, even years after your first visit, the magic is still there and it’s definitely a very surreal moment!

I hope you enjoyed this tag about Orlando and Disney and Universal. I love doing tags like this and loved this one with a mixture of the parks in it! Counting down the days to my return to magical Orlando… 152 days!!!

Top 10 Things To Do At Magic Kingdom | Blogtober Day 20

As you know I love Disney so I am going to do a few Disney themed blog posts and tell you what my top five things to do in each park are at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

1. The three mountains
Some may see this as cheating as it is three rides in the park, but they come under the same topic so I'm going to class it as one. Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. Spalsh Mountain is a log flume and is themed by Song of the South. I have personally never seen that movie, however the ride is my favourite ride in Magic Kingdom. Space Mountain is obviously space themed. It is in the dark and is inside and is one of the faster rides in the park. Lastly, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad's theme is the runaway train and is a fast ride in the form of a train. You have to do the three mountains when you visit the park.

2. Cinderella's castle
Cinderella's castle is obviously the icon of the park and it is absolutely breathtaking. It is stunning. The amount of detail on the castle is beautiful. You have to walk through the castle as well which you can do unless there is a show on of course. Walking down Main Street U.S.A and just seeing the castle at the end of it is a great moment.

3. Take the ferryboat over to the park
If it is your first time going to Magic Kingdom, or even if it's not, I would highly recommend getting the ferryboat over to the park. You can choose to either get the monorail or the ferryboat but to be honest I always go over to the park on the ferryboat. If you want to try both then by all means get the monorail back, but definitely go over on the ferryboat. I would also recommend getting to the park a while before the park opens so that you can be there for rope drop and see the little performance that Disney put on for the opening.

4. Character meet and greets
Meeting the characters is something special for people of all ages to do. Some people think that it is something to entertain children but it's really not. No matter what your age is, when you walk into meet Mickey Mouse at the Town Square Theatre you feel like a child again and it is just magical. Plus, the photos are a brilliant keepsake to remind you of your trip. He also sometimes has Minnie Mouse on his arm so you can kill two birds with one stone and meet them both at the same time so check out when you get to the park if Minnie is going to be joining him at any point that day to save time for more rides.

5. Wishes
To finish off your day at Magic Kingdom or even just for something to do at the night time when you are at Disney, go to see Wishes the firework display. It is literally the biggest, best, most magical firework display I have ever seen. It is definitely worth seeing. I know that some people get quite teary eyed when watching the show and it really is a beautiful show.

So these are my top five things to do in Magic Kingdom. I will be doing my top five things to do in each of the parks and maybe even Downtown Disney, Universal and SeaWorld.

The Disney World Tag | Blogtober Day 13

I saw The Disney World Tag on Instagram, screen shotted it straight away and absolutely wanted to do it. So here goes...

1. Favourite park?
Magic Kingdom, hands down.

2. Favourite character to meet?
Mickey and Minnie when they are together in Mickey's little place.

3. Favourite nighttime show?
Wishes firework display - beautiful.

4. Favourite ride in each park?
Magic Kingdom - Splash Mountain (may change to Journey of The Little Mermaid once I have ridden it!). Hollywood Studios (MGM) - Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. Animal Kingdom - Kali River Rapids. Epcot - Soarin'. Blizzard Beach - Cross Country Creek (love a good lazy river) or Slush Gusher (I am yet to ride Summit Plummet due to weather circumstances each time! Got 3 from the front last time and it got closed!!). Typhoon Lagoon - Crush 'n' Gusher.

5. Favourite dessert?
Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Sandwich. It is cookies and cream ice cream sandwiched together in two Mickey biscuits! Yummy!

6. Favourite character memory?
The very first time I went to Disney, I was about 7 years old, and I went with my parents, my brother along with my aunt and uncle. Meeting Minnie Mouse for the first time was so amazing, I can remember it clear as day and was so unforgettable. We even have some photos of the moment. My favourite is all of us smiling with Minnie whilst I'm hugging the life from her and my Dad is kissing her cheek. Love that picture and memory!

7. Favourite souvenir?
I can't choose between two. They are both from the first time I went - one is a ring and one is a key chain. The ring is just a dainty little gold ring with Mickeys face engraved into it. And the key chain is golden and in the shape of an old picture frame with the castle on the front and it opens up and the princesses are inside.

8. Favourite land in Magic Kingdom?
Fantasyland - but I love Frontierland also!

9. Favourite country in Epcot?
It's such a boring answer, but I love England in the World Showcase, because I love seeing all the English stuff in the USA and also seeing their portrayal of England is interesting too.

10. Favourite part of Festival of Fantasy?
Beauty and the Beast's float.

11. Favourite restaurant?
I love the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom mainly because of the surroundings inside there. It's so detailed and fun - although I am looking forward to trying other restaurants I haven't before (including Be Our Guest - so excited!).

12. Favourite magical moment?
Literally every moment from the minute you walk into the park to the minute you leave is magical. Even stepping off the plane at Orlando International, you feel the magic because you know you're heading to Disney!

Disney Parks Tag!

Okay, so I think it's pretty clear by this point that I love all things Disney, so when I saw the Disney Parks Tag, I was all over it. So, here we go...

The park I have chosen to answer the tag on is, of course, Magic Kingdom:

1. How many times have you been to this park?
I'm not too sure how many times I have visited the park exactly. I know I have been to Orlando, Florida 5 times and they have been for two or three weeks at a time, so I'm not sure how many times exactly I visited Magic Kingdom in this time.

2. What's your favourite land and why?
My favourite land in Magic Kingdom has to be Fantasyland (just over Frontierland slightly!). Fantasyland is just so whimsical and is home to Cinderella's Castle and lots of rides including Winnie the Pooh ride and, one I'm so excited to ride is the Journey of the Little Mermaid which has opened not so long ago. It is also home to the Be Our Guest restaurant and the whole land is just breathtaking.

3. What's your favourite ride and why?
My favourite ride is in Frontierland and just has to be Splash Mountain. Frontierland is just amazing and brilliantly themed. Splash Mountain is my favourite ride because it is just so cute and it's a log flume as well so is a great way to cool down in the Orlando heat.

4. What's your favourite show?
It just has to be Wishes. It is an amazing firework display over the Castle in Magic Kingdom and it is so beautiful. I know a lot of people can get quite emotional at this show and it really is amazing to just stand and watch.

5. What is your favourite thing to eat in the park?
Now I am quite a fussy eater, and my favourite thing to eat is probably going to be so boring, but I love just eating the chicken tenders and fries that you can get all around the park as it is just so American (and you can't beat a Mickey's premium ice cream sandwich for pudding!).

6. What do you want to do at the park that you have never done before?
I am so excited because this is actually happening in June 2015, but I am going to Orlando, Florida for 2 weeks with my best friend and we're just going to do everything at Disney because she has never been before so that is what I want to do. I have never been with a friend before so I'm looking forward to it!

7. If you were a cast member, who would you want to be?
It would just have to be Belle! Belle is one of my favourite princesses, alongside Ariel, but I just love her dress and her hair and she is just amazing.

8. What is your favourite story from the park?
It's not so much a story, but it is something we do every time we go to Magic Kingdom and that is taking the ferryboat over Seven Seas Lagoon over to the Magic Kingdom park entrance. It's just a slow little ferry ride over the lagoon and the castle is in view and it just gets the excitement building and is just an amazing moment leading up to the park.

So that was my Disney Parks Tag! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did writing it. I am even more excited now.
